Credelio Cat is the first and only oral flea and tick medication for cats. The small, chewable tablets kill 100% of fleas within 24 hours and stay effective throughout the month in cats 8 weeks and older and weighing 2 pounds or more. Credelio Cat also protects against black-legged ticks throughout the month in cats 6 months and older and weighing 2 pounds or more. This tasty chew can be placed directly in your cat’s mouth or easily disguised in their favorite food.

Credelio Cat treats and prevents flea infestations as well as black-legged or deer tick infestations.

Symptoms of fleas include:

• Black specks in your cat’s fur or bedding

Give Credelio Cat once a month with food or within 30 minutes of a meal.

Lotilaner

The most frequently reported adverse reactions of Credelio Cat are weight loss, tachypnea (rapid breathing), and vomiting. Lotilaner (the active ingredient in Credelio Cat) is a member of the isoxazoline class. This class has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia, and seizures. Neurologic adverse reactions have been reported in cats receiving isoxazoline class drugs, even in cats without a history of neurologic disorders. Use with caution in cats with a history of neurologic disorders. The safety of Credelio Cat has not been established in breeding, pregnant and lactating cats. The effectiveness of Credelio Cat against black-legged ticks in kittens less than 6 months of age has not been evaluated.
